Le lézard 4/7 français / english / italiano
(suite de l'histoire, à paraître chaque jour)
« Je vais à la réserve, » annonça Madame Giardino à sa fille, « voir s’il y assez de sauce tomate et de poivrons grillés pour Noël ».
Allumant la lumière, elle vit avec satisfaction les rangées de bouteilles, étincelantes, sur les rayons. « Bien, » se dit-elle, « il y a assez de sauce tomate pour les pâtes mais je ne vois pas de poivrons grillés ». Déplaçant quelques bouteilles afin de regarder derrière, elle se trouva face à face avec un lézard !
« Eek ! » cria-t-elle, « Na lucertolicchia dans ma réserve toute propre ! » Sa fille accourut avec le balai mais le lézard n’attendit pas pour qu’il lui soit dit encore qu’il ne pouvait pas rester là tout l’hiver. Saisissant l’occasion de la porte laissée ouverte…
le lézard s’enfuit dehors.
“I’m going to the store room,” said Mrs. Giardino to her daughter, “to check there’s enough tomato sauce and roast peppers for Christmas.”
Switching on the light, she saw with satisfaction an array of bright bottles twinkling on the shelves in the store room. “Well,” she said to herself, “there’s plenty of tomato sauce for the pasta but I don’t see any roast peppers.”She moved a few bottles out of the way and came face to face with a lizard!
“Eek!” she screeched “Na lucertolicchia in my nice clean store room!”
Her daughter came running with the broom but the lizard didn’t wait to be told he couldn’t stay here all winter and, taking advantage of the open door...
he ran outside.
« Sto andando in cantina », disse la signora Giardino alla figlia, « a vedere se c’è abbastanza sugo e peperoni grigliati per Natale ».
Accendendo la luce, notò con soddisfazione una fila di bottiglie luccicare sugli scaffali della cantina. « Bene », si disse, « C’è molto sugo per la pasta ma non vedo i peperoni ».
Scansò qualche bottiglia e si trovò faccia a faccia con una lucertola !
« Eek ! », gridò, « Na lucertolicchia nella mia cantina pulita e ordinata ! Sua figlia arrivò di corsa con una scopa ma la lucertola non aspettò che gli venisse detto che non poteva stare lì tutto l’inverno e, sfruttando il fatto che la porta era aperta,
uscì fuori.
